Clean Ocean, Beautiful Shore
“Clean Ocean, Beautiful Shore” is a project implemented by the State Government with the objective of developing marine resources and protecting coastal areas by making the sea and coastal regions plastic-free and restoring the natural ecosystem. As part of the second phase of the “Clean Ocean, Beautiful Shore” project, Mathilakam Grama Panchayat secured second place in Thrissur district for successfully conducting an exemplary cleaning campaign. The award was received on behalf of the Grama Panchayat by governing body member E.K. Biju from Fisheries Minister Saji Cherian at a function held in Kollam.
